Founded in 1986 by a group of Florida Highway Patrol troopers seeking better representation for rank-and-file officers, the Florida Association of State Troopers (FAST) has grown into a statewide voice for those who patrol Florida's roadways. For four decades, FAST has been a steady advocate for the men and women of the Florida Highway Patrol — and for the families who stand behind them.
Today, FAST is a powerful influence within the state law enforcement community. With an exclusive statewide membership that encompasses active, auxiliary, reserve, and retired members of the Florida Highway Patrol, FAST has established a statewide network of communication and rapid deployment — enabling us to monitor and respond to events that affect the Florida Highway Patrol and the law enforcement community.
To support and empower the fine men and women of the Florida Highway Patrol and their families — through advocacy, member services, communication, and a statewide network that responds to their needs at every level.
FAST serves the entire Florida Highway Patrol family. Membership is exclusively open to active, auxiliary, reserve, and retired members of the Florida Highway Patrol — and FAST Partners extends our reach to the spouses and families who stand alongside them every day.
FAST is managed by a volunteer board of directors made up entirely of members of the Florida Highway Patrol, elected by their peers. We are the only organization of, by, and for the men and women of the Florida Highway Patrol.
